My friend and I had a fantastic meal here last night, we chose the Thali which was a selection of different dishes available in mild, medium or hot. Portion sizes were very generous and we had a bottle of wine and some poppadoms too. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty. The prices were very very reasonable too. Highly recommended!

My family and I were craving Indian food while we were visiting South Shields. Ginger Indian Street Food was one of the highest rated restaurants that I found online so decided to give it a try. It's now our new favourite! The food was sooo tasty and very well made, lots of options on the menu, and the set meals are really good value for money. I had the grilled fish as my main and I was pleasantly surprised at how tender and tasty it was. My mum had the Lamb Bombay Railway and it was extremely tender and delicious. Really can't say anything bad about the food. Best of all, service was excellent. Really helpful and polite staff, great ambience. Wish nothing but the best for the owner and staff. Looking forward to our next visit!

This is the best curry I have ever had. The service was excellent and the Guy serving us was very understanding and giving us extra time to order. Overall a lovely experience eating out. I had vegetable curry, pilau rice, chips and nann bread. Yummy.

Great Indian street food. All the food was full of flavour and good portion sizes. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Would recommend for the various options available and you can have the traditional curries if you prefer that. Will be back soon.
